Hampton Construction & Interior Design Ltd. is a Saskatoon company built around a simple idea: the people framing the walls and the people choosing what goes on them should be on the same team.
Why the two halves belong together
On most renovations, the homeowner ends up as the middleman. The contractor needs a decision on the vanity before Thursday. The designer specified a fixture that won't clear the joist. Nobody's wrong, exactly, but the schedule slips and the budget follows it.
Hampton was set up to remove that problem. We carry construction and interior design in one company, so selections are made against real dimensions, real lead times, and a real budget. When a wall opens up and reveals something unexpected — and in older Saskatoon homes, it usually does — one team absorbs it instead of two trading emails about it.
That's where the line on our business cards comes from. Doing it right the first time is cheaper than doing it twice, and it's the only version of the job we're interested in.

Building for this climate
Saskatoon is hard on buildings. Forty-degree summer swings, frost that moves footings, and a shell that has to hold heat through five months of real winter.
We plan around it. Excavation and exterior envelope work is scheduled into the open season. Interior work carries the winter, which is often the best time to renovate a kitchen anyway — trades are easier to book and lead times are shorter. Insulation, vapour barrier, and air sealing get detailed properly, because the cost of getting those wrong shows up on a utility bill every month for thirty years.
